We are seeking a Senior Consultant - SDS Author to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake Safety Data Sheet (SDS) authoring for various clients, supporting technical areas including REACH and Poison Centre notifications.
• Apply extensive technical knowledge in SDS authoring, utilizing Ricardo’s third-party SDS software.
• Manage project staff involved in technical projects, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of work.
• Support the development of team members in technical and management skills.
• Review SDS authored by team members, providing feedback and procedural improvements.
• Contribute to the growth of SDS services by developing new consultancy solutions aligned with regulatory changes.
• Coordinate with marketing and sales to promote Ricardo’s capabilities and support sales growth.
• Identify opportunities for additional support in REACH, Poison Centres, Emergency Response, or training, collaborating with the sales team to pursue these.

Key Competencies and Experience:

• Proven SDS authoring experience across multiple jurisdictions (e.g., USA, EU, UK, Japan, China, Korea), including extended SDS.
• Strong background in supply regulations, safety data sheet classification, and authoring compliant SDS documents; knowledge of REACH and Poison Centres is desirable.
• Experience in delivering high-quality technical consultancy in chemical regulatory affairs.
• Expertise in global chemical regulations, particularly GHS and CLP.
• Ability to stay current with market trends and support the development of new services and technical papers.
• Contribute to business strategy with regulatory consultancy insights.
• Support product managers in delivering projects and developing team members.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting to clients and at conferences.
• Effective management and influence skills, with the ability to delegate work.
