Senior Consultant, Supply Chain & Operations at EY. Your Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain and strengthen relationships and act as a trusted advisor in areas such as operations, planning, procurement or manufacturing.
  • Contribute or lead a workstream within a project and manage activity to deliverables within your remit.
  • Be an active member of a core project team, often collaborating with colleagues across EY worldwide.

  • Engage the market with thought leadership and enhance EY methodologies.
  • Develop your network across internal sector and account teams to bring commercial and procurement expertise to bear.

  • Support the successful delivery of projects by managing work products to time and budget.
  • Ensure delivery quality and alignment with client expectations within your remit.
  • Develop and share knowledge to strengthen EY’s methodologies.

Support operational excellence

  • Manage project delivery and forecasted contributions to time and budget.
  • Maintain high delivery quality and client satisfaction by effective activity management.

  • Maintain a personal development plan to enhance technical and consulting skills.
  • Grow people leadership experience through leading as part of client and internal teams.

Your Experience

Typically, Senior Consultants bring practical experience from professional services or industry with a focus on commercial and procurement. Experience across sectors such as Consumer Products & Retail, Energy & Resources, Government & Infrastructure, Health & Life Sciences, Private & National and Telecommunications, Media & Entertainment is valued. Some exposure to technical skills below is preferred.

  • Supply Chain Strategy: including operating model design, segmentation and inventory optimisation across end-to-end supply chain.
  • Supply Chain Transformation: involvement in significant supply chain transformation projects, with design, setup and delivery including people, process and technology change.
  • Digital Supply Chain: technologies such as Robotic Process Automation, AI, IoT, Blockchain and Big Data analytics.
  • Supply Chain Analytics: developing end-to-end visibility through analytics and models.
  • Supply Chain Planning Functional: demand/supply planning, S&OP, segmentation, inventory optimisation, production scheduling.
  • Supply Chain Planning with Technology: familiarity with OMP, Kinaxis, o9, Aera, SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, SAP S/4HANA.
  • Logistics: network design, global trade, warehouse design, 3PL/4PL, Control Tower.
  • Manufacturing: optimisation at plant or network level.
  • Procurement: strategic/operational/transactional procurement, including SAP Ariba.
  • Service and Asset Management Transformation: end-to-end asset lifecycle knowledge.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to engage with peers and senior stakeholders. Proactive, energetic, self-starters with innovative delivery capabilities. Professional body memberships or qualifications (e.g., CIPS, IACCM) are beneficial but not required; relevant skills are welcome.
