This is a standout opportunity for an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to step into a senior leadership role within a forward-thinking, well-established firm in Manchester. With a high-performing team already in place, the firm is now looking for someone with strong technical expertise and supervisory experience to help steer and develop the department. You’ll handle your own caseload of complex Court of Protection matters while also mentoring and supervising junior team members, providing the support and oversight needed to ensure continued high standards across the team.

As a Director within the firm and of the Trust Corporation, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of the department and contributing to broader strategic goals. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to make a long-term impact, with the support and autonomy to do things the right way.

Who we’re looking for

  • Court of Protection Solicitor, ideally with 10+ PQE
  • Grade A or experienced Grade B solicitor
  • Strong experience managing complex Property & Affairs deputyships
  • Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers
  • Strategic thinker with leadership potential and a team-first mindset

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage your own caseload of CoP work, including professional deputyship matters
  • Supervise and mentor junior solicitors and support staff within the team
  • Act as a Director of the firm’s Trust Corporation
  • Work collaboratively with the wider private client and litigation departments
  • Contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the department
  • Maintain exceptional client care standards and ensure compliance with regulations
