Alexander Daniels Finance Recruitment is proud to be recruiting a Senior Credit Risk Analyst on behalf of a globally recognised brand in consumer lending within the financial services sector.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join a forward-thinking Risk Analytics team and help shape credit strategy across a diverse UK lending portfolio.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how credit decisions are made across the business. From acquisition to customer management, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Designing and optimising credit strategies across cards, loans, retail and motor finance.
  • Developing and validating scorecards, affordability models, pricing and limits strategies using CRA data.
  • Presenting analytical insights and recommendations directly to senior stakeholders and risk committees.
  • Monitoring portfolio performance, identifying emerging trends, and driving proactive solutions.
  • Leading and mentoring junior analysts, ensuring high-quality outputs and timely delivery.
  • Collaborating with Risk, Finance, Marketing, and Operations to deliver joined-up solutions.
  • Supporting regulatory compliance while driving commercial performance.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who combines technical depth with strategic thinking:

  • Degree (or higher) in a quantitative field: Statistics, Maths, Computer Science, ML, AI.
  • Strong coding skills in SAS, SQL or Python.
  • Deep understanding of credit lifecycle, CRA data, and consumer lending risk.
  • Experience in modelling, forecasting, and strategy development.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills—you’ll be visible at the top.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with lending products such as cards, loans, retail or motor finance is a plus.

Salary: Up to £60,000 plus Bonus (depending on experience)
