At Cancer Research UK, we exist to beat cancer.
We are professionals with purpose, beating cancer every day. But we need to go much further and much faster. That’s why we’re looking for someone talented, someone who wants to develop their skills, someone like you.
Cancer Research UK has a vision to bring about a worldwhere everybody can lead longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer. However, to achieve our mission and grow our funding, we must build even greater momentum and urgency around our cause, and engage and inspire millions of people in deeper, more meaningful ways to join our mission. Therefore, we have created a long-term Engage Strategy and designed a bold transformation programme which aims to better harness data and digital marketing technology to deliver more relevant, trusted, and frictionless experiences for our audiences (and in turn drive growth).
It’s an exciting time to join our Data Management team. As we transition to automated data tools and integrate from Siebel to Salesforce, which goes live next year, ensuring our Marketing, Fundraising, and Engagement (MFE) directorate’s data is efficient, accurate, and robust is a critical part of this challenge. As a Senior CRM Interface Executive, you’ll be part of this journey by coordinating the operational data loading schedule onto our fundraising database in line with data quality rules and compliance guidelines.
This role is not purely technical; you’ll provide data expertise and problem-solving while partnering with technical teams to deliver data solutions and automation across the charity’s CRM and data tools. This will involve jointly coordinating, monitoring, and planning the Data team’s day-to-day workload and escalating any issues to senior management to ensure our data projects and initiatives are completed within agreed SLAs.
Your legacy by the end of this contract will be to have strengthened Cancer Research UK’s data infrastructure during a critical period of CRM transformation. Ultimately, embedding the technical foundations that enable our operations and advance our purpose. If you have experience importing, manipulating, and maintaining large volumes of Salesforce and/or Siebel data, we’d love for you to join our mission.
What will I be doing?

Monitoring daily data workflows using Informatica and resolving integration errors promptly.
Driving continuous improvements of team processes to increase accuracy, efficiency, and reduce resource spend.
Contributing to ad hoc data integration and system projects.
Coordinatingwith the team to ensure database requests (such as reference data, event codes, and value lists) are completed accurately and within agreed SLAs.
Conducting user acceptance testing and validating data quality before system updates go live.
Providing feedback to internal and external data suppliers when data doesn’t meet required standards, while collaborating with internal account managers to resolve issues efficiently.
Acting as the primary contact for external supplier queries, fostering collaborative relationships between our suppliers and teams across Cancer Research UK.
Coordinating supplier onboarding and setting up or updating data feeds as needed.
Escalating issues to the Data management team promptly and suggesting solutions where possible.
What skills will I need?
Experienced CRM data professional with experience importing, manipulating, and maintaining large volumes of supporter/customer/ and/ or financial data.
Strong working knowledge of CRM systems (including Salesforce and/or Siebel).
Proven technical data skills with a history of using Excel, as well as XML and JSON tools to support CRM integrations and data workflows.
Proactive problem-solver with a solutions-driven approach to managing data issues, improving workflows, and supporting CRM integrations across complex systems.
Effective time management and organisational skills, with a proven ability to coordinate data schedules, meet SLAs, and maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Has built credible and collaborative internal and external stakeholder relationships with strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Embraces change with a proactive and flexible mindset, effectively navigating shifting priorities, evolving data needs, and emerging challenges to maintain performance and drive solutions.
