Overview

Senior Data Developer role for a mission-driven, non-profit organisation based in Birmingham. This permanent position offers a hybrid working arrangement, with one day per week in the Birmingham office and the remainder home-based. The role is a 35-hour working week, structured over 9 days every fortnight, with a salary of £60,000.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of data solutions using engineering best practices such as CI/CD, test automation, and infrastructure as code.
  • Contribute to system architecture discussions, support cloud migrations, and work with stakeholders to define and fulfil requirements through impactful data solutions.
  • Mature and enhance the organisation’s data ecosystem to enable teams to produce high-quality, reliable data that meets evolving business needs.
  • Foster a high-performing data engineering team through coaching, mentoring, and the introduction of modern methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python programming.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming using .NET.
  • Proven experience designing and developing robust ETL processes.
  • Understanding of ASP.NET for back-end development.
  • Familiarity with systems integration methodologies.
