Base pay range

  • Salary - up to £50,000

A rare chance for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join a hugely successful, growing, independent media planning and buying agency based in London. This company has an unrivalled knowledge and expertise across all channels from broadcast to biddable, which gives their clients a unique 360 view on all factors impacting on their businesses.

The Role:

As a Principal Data Scientist, you will set the vision for how this agency measures and optimises media effectiveness for their clients and internal teams. You will use appropriate methodologies to successfully deliver measurement, using techniques such as econometrics and machine learning–driven attribution.

As the senior leader in this domain within the company, you will bridge data science, media strategy, and commercial impact, ensuring approaches inform future investment decisions. You will be the key driver of measurement innovation, guiding both clients and internal teams on how data science can unlock value from media budgets.

Skills Required:

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Hard Skills & Technical Expertise needed:

Programming & Analysis:

  • Expert in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyMC, TensorFlow/PyTorch desirable)
  • SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets
  • Experience with R (econometrics, statistical modelling) is a plus

Statistical & Econometric Modelling:

  • Econometrics and time-series modelling (ARIMA, SARIMA)
  • Supervised and unsupervised learning
  • Uplift and propensity modelling
  • Feature engineering and model validation
  • Experience with Azure (Databricks, Data Lake, Synapse)
  • Version control (Git) and workflow automation
  • Familiarity with productionising models and MLOps principles
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools
  • Strong data storytelling skills for non-technical audience
