What you will do

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for all Fire Suppression design elements in supporting the business on regional projects.

You will be part of the JCI Fire Suppression Design Team based in one of our offices, with the opportunity for hybrid remote work based on experience as agreed with your Design Manager.

Occasionally, travel to sites around the UK will be necessary to perform site surveys, complete progress reviews, mark up drawings, and attend client design meetings as required.

How you will do it

• Understanding of the customers / contacts within the business.
• Liaising with sales & contract managers on onsite specifications, installation & bracketing, completing Design Risk Assessments.
• Daily liaison with the client / customer, both internal and external.
• Working closely with sales colleagues to ensure a smooth handover of projects from sales through design and completion with all design deliverables required.

What we look for

Required

• AutoCAD experience
• Fire Suppression Design knowledge utilising LPCB rules, NFPA, and FM Global standards
• A basic understanding of LPC Rules incorporating BS EN 12845, NFPA, and FM Global standards for all hazard classifications
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal/external customers to drive customer satisfaction
• Design specifications / Presentational Packages
• Experience working with and producing contractual documentation
