Senior Developer, React – Tribal Worldwide London

Tribal Worldwide London is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Front-End Developer to join our team. This contract role with a projected end date of December 19, 2025 focuses on shaping digital experiences from bold marketing sites to interactive web applications, bringing creative flair and technical excellence to the code you produce.

You will work with a team of creative individuals and collaborate closely with the Tech Lead to provide insightful solutions and accurate estimates for tasks. You will immerse yourself in front-end technologies including React, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, and you will be proficient with content management systems.

Note: This role requires a minimum of 3 days per week in our London office.

Responsibilities

• Develop web applications that follow the latest web standards and front-end technologies.
• Collaborate with Creative, Business, Technology, and QA teams to ensure solutions meet requirements and performance targets (mobile and desktop).
• Own the development of web applications and ensure alignment with the technical architecture and design established by the technical lead.
• Implement user and business requirements across multiple development activities.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation on projects as dictated by guidelines and best practices.
• Debug or troubleshoot complex issues in existing web applications.
• Proactively provide feedback on policies and procedures when opportunities for improvement exist.
• Provide guidance and support to other team members to improve performance and technical skills.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of front-end experience (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
• Excellent knowledge of modern development practices (Mobile First, MVC, OOP).
• Fluency in ReactJS.
• Experience with cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
• Experience with automation and pre-processing tools (e.g., Gulp, Grunt, LESS).
• Experience integrating web solutions with external web services.
• Knowledge of design patterns (MVC, Observer, OOP, etc.).
• Experience with pre-processing CSS styling.
• Fluency with data formats and protocols common in web apps (JSON, XML, HTTP).
• Experience writing accessible (ARIA, WCAG, ADA) and SEO-friendly code.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN, Mercurial).
• Experience building proofs-of-concept and performing root-cause analysis of issues.
• Cloud knowledge: AWS, Azure, etc.
• Desirable: Experience in digital agency projects and SCRUM/Agile environments.
