The Role

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in deploying and managing infrastructure on AWS, using tools like Terraform for infrastructure as code. This role involves designing and building CI/CD templates to streamline and enhance the productivity of our engineering teams as well.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure using services such as VPC, networking, load balancing, ECS Fargate, EC2, RDS, and S3.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support the development and deployment of applications.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to boost productivity through efficient CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows.
  • Monitor and optimise the performance, scalability, and reliability of our infrastructure.
  • Ensure security best practices are followed and implemented across all cloud deployments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and operations.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices, particularly in AWS and DevOps domains.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Senior DevOps on AWS.
  • Deep understanding of AWS services, particularly VPC, networking, load balancing, ECS Fargate, EC2, RDS, and S3
  • Proven experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code practices.
  • Strong experience in designing and building CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
  • Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or other relevant AWS certifications.
  • Experience with additional automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, New Relic or CloudWatch.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
