What You\'ll Do

  • Design & Simulation: Lead the design of earthing systems and perform lightning protection risk assessments (BSEN 62305).
  • Site Visits: Conduct testing and inspection of protection systems at substations, power stations, and renewable energy sites.
  • Client Engagement: Manage key client relationships, resolve queries, and communicate technical outputs clearly.
  • Report Writing: Deliver detailed technical reports and review junior team members\' outputs.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior engineers and graduates to foster team growth and knowledge sharing.

What We\'re Looking For

  • Qualifications
  • Essential: Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Desirable: Master\'s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience
  • Minimum 5 years\' hands-on experience in earthing & lightning protection design, assessments, and field testing.
  • Skills & Attributes
  • Proficiency in CDEGS, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • Strong understanding of UK standards for electrical infrastructure.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work onsite (2-4 nights away/week).
  • Demonstrated ability to support and develop junior team members.
  • Collaborative, inquisitive, respectful, and highly accurate in technical work.
