We focus on enhancing asset efficiency, ensuring high availability, and reducing maintenance costs.

We are looking for a Senior EC&I Engineer to provide professional technical assistance and advice to support our Manufacturing Engineering Team working on innovative EPC projects in the UK.

This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, based at our control panel manufacturing facility in Haydock, with the option for hybrid working.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of electrical control panels and associated systems as a senior member of the in-house team of engineers.
• Act as a technical authority for the EC&I discipline, supporting the Engineering Manager in meeting business goals.
• Translate customer requirements into effective engineering solutions.
• Plan and execute tasks to meet objectives on time, maintaining control over costs and quality.
• Manage client expectations regarding project scope.
• Prepare, review, and approve engineering and design estimates; monitor project costs related to progress, scope changes, and man-hours.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in regulated environments such as nuclear, defence, oil & gas, or power generation is highly desirable.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications/experience.
• At least 10 years of professional engineering design or technical specialist experience.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of Electrical Engineering, including design, testing, and evaluation.

Additional Knowledge/Experience:

• Low Voltage switchgear design
• Control and automation system design
• Variable drive system design
• Experience with AutoCAD, Eplan, AutoCAD Electrical
• Familiarity with AMTECH software

Security Clearance:

• Possession of security clearance is preferred.
• Candidates must meet UK security clearance criteria due to the nature of the work.
