Job Opportunities: Senior EC&I Engineer & Process Engineer

Octopus Project Engineering is a dynamic, rapidly expanding multi-discipline engineering consultancy based in Middlewich Cheshire.

Established in 2011, we provide comprehensive project management, engineering design, consultancy. We work across multiple sectors including:

Opportunity 1: Senior Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer

Contract Type: Permanent or Contract (Full-time / Part-time considered)

This is a hybrid working role: primarily home-based, but candidates must be able to attend the office in Middlewich as required and be available for occasional client site visits.

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated EC&I Engineer to support our growing in-house team. This is a key role within our business, offering excellent long-term career prospects.

The ideal candidate will have experience spanning the entire project lifecycle, including:

- Feasibility and FEED

- Detailed design

- Commissioning and optimisation

-Electrical, control and instrumentation design and specification

-Minimum 5 years of experience

-Scope definition and documentation

-Input to engineering proposals, bids, and business development activities

Candidate Profile:

- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (preferred but not essential)

- Strong practical experience across the full EC&I lifecycle

- Interest in contributing to a developing engineering consultancy

- Strong communication and collaboration skills

Opportunity 2: Process Engineers required (Junior and Senior)

Contract Type: Permanent or Contract (Full-time / Part-time considered)

This is a hybrid working role: primarily home-based, but candidates must be able to attend the office in Middlewich as required and be available for occasional client site visits.

Role Overview :

We are seeking a Junior Process Engineer and a Senior Process Engineer to deliver high-quality engineering projects in a range of sectors.

The ideal candidate will have experience spanning the entire project lifecycle, including:

- Feasibility and FEED

- Detailed design

- Commissioning and optimisation

Key Responsibilities:

-Process modelling and simulation

-Equipment specification and selection

-Process safety studies (e.g. HAZOP)

-Technical documentation

Candidate Profile:

- Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent

- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial process engineering

- Knowledge of COMAH, DSEAR, and other safety regulations

- Experience preparing and reviewing detailed technical documentation
