We’re partnering with a respected economics consultancy to support the recruitment of a Senior Economist into the expanding competition team. The firm is known for delivering high-impact analysis on antitrust and competition matters across a wide range of sectors and jurisdictions.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced economist to contribute to major competition cases, work alongside experts in the field, and play a key role in shaping the future of the team.

Role

You’ll take on a pivotal role within a high-performing group of economists, working on complex competition cases and merger control matters. The position combines technical delivery, client engagement, and strategic input, offering a strong platform for professional growth and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to the delivery of economic analysis for competition and antitrust projects
  • Manage project teams and ensure timely, high-quality output
  • Draft clear, client-facing reports and present findings effectively
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Support the development of junior team members
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the competition practice

Key Skills

  • MSc or PhD in Economics
  • Background in economic consulting or a competition authority
  • Strong analytical and data skills (e.g. Python, R, Stata, Excel)
  • Proven experience delivering projects and managing teams
  • Clear and confident communication, both written and verbal
