Senior Electronics EngineerBelfast - Hybrid

If you are looking for an Electronics role within a local, innovative and industry-leading organisation, we are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer with experience in delivery of complex electronic products and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design of circuit assemblies and systems
  • Contributing to development of electronic architectures to meet design requirements
  • Component and subsystem evaluation
  • Creating electronic schematics and working with PCB layout engineers
  • Testing, validation and debugging of circuit assemblies
  • Carry out development and integration testing of electronic assemblies
  • Contribute to electronics specifications, development and verification plans
  • Ensure compliance to regulatory standards
  • Support product fault finding and investigation activities

What we are looking for

  • A relevant Engineering, Scientific or Numerate degree
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of electronic circuit design
  • Solid, relevant experience in at least one of the following areas:
    • Power Electronics
    • Digital Electronics
    • Analogue Electronics
    • Electronics Architecture
    • High Frequency Electronics
  • Experience with electronics design and simulation tools
  • Understanding of requirements for DFT and DFM
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills
  • Communicate effectively within a diverse, professional environment
  • Self-motivated and able to take the initiative
  • Outstanding teamwork skills

Nice to have

  • Experience in design of equipment for safety critical environments
  • Membership with a relevant professional Institution (e.g., IET, IEEE)

Security Clearance

This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held; however, if not currently held, the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. For full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years; in some circumstances a minimum of 3 years’ residence may be accepted, with additional overseas checks as applicable.
