What You Will Do

  • Take a leading role in full lifecycle firmware development for new and existing products and test equipment.
  • Support the design and development of mixed-signal electronics capable of operating in harsh environments.
  • Participate in peer reviews for both firmware and electronic designs.
  • Take an active role in knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the electronics team.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams (systems, software, and mechanical).

  • Develop expertise in high-performance IMU and MEMS sensor design within aerospace applications.
  • Gain exposure to complex and formal development processes (e.g. DO-254).
  • Work with cutting-edge FPGA and mixed-signal technologies in real-world aerospace systems.
  • Collaborate in a high-performing engineering environment where innovation and precision meet.

What You Must Have

  • A minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in VHDL architectural design, coding, and simulation/test benching (Microchip, Xilinx, SoC).
  • Solid understanding of analogue and digital electronics principles.
  • Experience across the full lifecycle of electronics development, from requirements capture to multilayer PCB design.
  • Strong hands-on testing experience for both firmware and hardware.
  • Demonstrated ability in mixed-signal design, integrating sensitive analogue circuitry with high-speed digital signals.

Skills & Experience We Value

  • Use of E-CAD tools for schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation (ideally Xpedition, HyperLynx, AMS).
  • Experience working within a formal design process (e.g. DO-254).
  • Knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog, OSVVM, or UVVM.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards.
  • Experience with MEMS sensors or airborne electronics.
  • Background in requirements management
  • ASIC design and development.
  • Cross-disciplinary understanding (systems, software, mechanical).
