Are you an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer with strong real-time C/C++ skills, ready to shape the next generation of cutting-edge consumer audio systems?

For this business based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, with nearly four decades of expertise in high-end audio innovation, the focus remains on engineering excellence and superior sound quality. As they continue to push the boundaries of performance, they’re seeking a talented Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their tight-knit R&D team. This role offers the opportunity to work on premium audio products in a collaborative, hands-on environment.

What you’ll be doing for this business based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire:

• Designing and implementing embedded software using C/C++ for high-end audio devices
• Collaborating with hardware engineers to ensure system-level performance and quality
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code under version control
• Supporting the full development lifecycle, from prototyping to final release
• Contributing to a hybrid-working environment that values collaboration and technical creativity

Key requirements for this Senior Embedded Software Engineer role in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire:

• 5+ years’ experience in embedded C/C++ development for consumer or audio products
• Strong understanding of serial communication protocols like UART, SPI, and I2C
• Experience working with external vendors or development partners
• Familiarity with any of the following would be beneficial: FreeRTOS or similar RTOS, C#/.Net, SQL Server, AWS, or IDEs such as MCUXpresso or Eclipse

What’s on offer:

• Salary – up to £65,000.00 per annum
• Annual discretionary pro-rata bonus based on company and individual performance
• Statutory pension contributions
• 38-hour working week with hybrid flexibility
• 25 days annual leave plus UK public and bank holidays
