Senior Employee Relations Specialist (Business Change)

Salary: Starting from £57,000 per annum, depending on experience and location

Location: South West.This is a hybrid role where you ll be mainly based from home but there ll be regular travel for client and internal meetings within the South West region.

What you ll be doingYou ll be the go-to expert for all things Employee Relations and Business Change, supporting our clients through tricky situations such as redundancies, restructures, TUPE transfers and acquisitions. You ll be there to guide them through it all, offering practical, legally-sound advice that gives them confidence in making people-related decisions. You ll take the lead on complex ER cases - from running investigations to delivering outcomes - and you ll also get stuck into shaping policies, reviewing documents, and supporting others across the team. You ll work closely with both clients and colleagues to make sure everything we deliver is high-quality and helpful, whilst also playing a big part in how we grow and improve our ER offering. Your responsibilities will be many and varied, but never boring. Here s a glimpse into your day-to-day role:


About youYou re an experienced HR professional with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for delivering practical advice. You re confident dealing with complex people issues and have plenty of experience supporting organisations through change, whether that s a restructure, redundancy, TUPE transfer or something equally challenging.

You ve got a solid understanding of employment law and know how to apply it in a way that s practical, clear and commercially sensible. You re comfortable advising senior stakeholders, can manage tricky conversations, and you know how to spot risks and work through them.

Communication is your superpower. You can simplify complex ER issues and deliver clear advice, both in writing and in person. Clients trust you because you make them feel supported every step of the way.

You re also great at juggling multiple priorities, keeping an eye on the detail, and producing high-quality work under pressure. If someone s stuck, you re the person they turn to - and you re always happy to coach others, share your knowledge, and support your team. Above all, you care about doing the right thing and making a positive difference for the clients you work with.
