Key to this role is the development of fault detection and diagnostic algorithms, enabling prognostic responses to potential issues and ensuring the overall health and reliability of the system.

Within this context, the purpose of the Control Systems Engineer is to:

Develop and Implement Advanced Control Strategies: Design and implement innovative control algorithms for the Liquid Hydrogen Fuel System, focusing on stability, efficiency, and safety, initially to successful ground demonstration at TRL 6 in 2027.

Fault Detection and Health Management: Develop sophisticated fault detection and diagnostic algorithms, enabling proactive responses to potential issues. Implement health management strategies for continuous monitoring, predictive maintenance, and fault tolerance, ensuring system reliability.

Collaborative Optimisation: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, refine control strategies based on real-world data, conduct comprehensive testing, and integrate fault-tolerant solutions. Contribute to the advancement of the fuel system's performance and reliability through continuous improvement initiatives.

Under the supervision of the Hydrogen Fuel System Technical Lead, this role encompasses the following responsibilities for achieving success:

Implementation and Compliance:

Implement and ensure compliance with Lifecycle Management and Engineering processes within Marshall hydrogen industrial research context.

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to the hydrogen fuel system.
