Job Title: Senior Engineer – Project EngineeringLocation: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Salary: Circa £48,000What you’ll be doing:Reporting to the Principal Engineer, you’ll support the delivery of projects by providing dedicated embedded engineering expertise, ensuring alignment with governance standards and compliance with the BAE Lifecycle Management FrameworkSupport and compile engineering documentation to support requirements capture and design maturation from creation and implementation through validationCapture iterative design changes in accordance with the requirement scope, ensuring revisions and configurations are controlled in accordance with company processesDeliver all documentation in a captured, configured, and controlled manner in accordance with the company Lifecycle Framework (LCM or RIBA)Support and manage suppliers to aid in the delivery of compliant technical solutions against contractual requirements and regulationsProvide technical input to Lifecycle Framework deliverables against milestones & gated/staged Design ReviewsLiaise with both internal and external customers as required, ensuring that their requirements are adequately supported and that their needs are fully considered and incorporated where appropriate and agreedYour skills and experiences:Degree level qualification in relevant STEM subject (Engineering/Physics/Maths/Science) or equivalent industry/armed forces experienceFamiliarity with Systems Engineering processes and best practices within the defence, maritime, or related industriesProven Delivery & Experience working within project lifecycle management, with a broad understanding of the entire processKnowledge of applicable engineering standards, including safety and environmental regulationsDesirable: PRINCE2/APM/PMPBenefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentiveWe offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.Why BAE Systems?
