As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead software engineering teams delivering best-in-class web experiences that help millions of customers make smarter financial decisions. You'll drive the business' technology strategy, oversee large-scale delivery, and ensure the growth of a high-performing, innovative software engineering organisation. You'll partner closely with Product, Design, and other Engineering leaders to deliver robust, scalable and user-focused applications. You'll champion engineering excellence across the organisation's technology landscape while ensuring alignment with our broader tech and business strategy.

Responsibilities
- Drive the strategic direction, setting architectural and delivery standards across multiple teams.
- Oversee technical decision-making, ensuring a focus on performance, maintainability, reliability, and security across platforms.
- Be accountable for the delivery performance and operational health of teams.
- Ensure alignment with product and technical strategy, roadmap, and company goals through strong collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Own key delivery milestones, KPIs, and metrics for engineering effectiveness.
- Hire, develop, and retain world-class engineering talent.
- Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across teams.
- Establish clear career pathways, promote succession planning, and support personal and professional growth at all levels.
- Act as a key technology partner to senior stakeholders across the business.
- Ensure that engineering aligns with broader technology goals, company risk controls, and compliance requirements.
- Use metrics and data to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure delivery aligns with the roadmap and company strategy while maintaining our engineering standards.
- Promote and champion adoption of AI tooling and best practices to increase efficiency and reduce toil.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading and scaling engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of software technologies, architectures, and development best practices.
- A track record of delivering large-scale, high-impact applications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A tech-savvy mindset with the ability to make sound, strategic decisions quickly and effectively.
- Experience in fostering inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing team cultures.
