Amey Consulting’s Highways teams impact the journeys of millions across the UK, by working in partnership with a range of clients and providing consultancy design services for Strategic Highway networks. National Highways, formerly Highways England, have named Amey Consulting as a Design partner to support the delivery of the largest and most comprehensive renewals programme and Environment and Wellbeing Designated Funds that National Highways have ever launched. The £3.6bn Scheme Delivery Framework (SDF) enables National Highways to procure Design and Construction services across the Strategic Road Network.

The Role

We are looking to grow our capacity on the Midlands SDF contract for National Highways. The role can be based anywhere in the Midlands as Amey have multiple offices across the region as well as the ability to work remotely. We view this Senior Environmental Consultant role as a key opportunity to work collaboratively with our design teams and our National Highways clients to build, develop and lead our delivery of Environmental Assessments across all the SDF projects in the Midlands. This role would involve providing input into and review of DMRB (Design Manual for Roads and Bridges) topics including Biodiversity, Landscape, Cultural Heritage, Waste & Materials, Population and Human Health, Climate and co-ordinating environmental projects ranging from scoping reports to full environmental assessments.
