Are you an experienced Environmental Consultant looking to step into a leadership role within a dynamic and fast-growing consultancy? We’re working on behalf of a highly regarded environmental and engineering firm that is looking to expand its Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team with the appointment of a Senior Environmental Consultant their Manchester office.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in leading and coordinating EIAs and environmental planning projects from inception through to delivery. The role offers a mix of technical responsibility and project management, and you’ll be integral to both client relationships and internal mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage EIA projects across a variety of sectors
  • Provide technical input into planning applications, licence applications, and environmental assessments
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of specialists and sub-consultants
  • Prepare and review high-quality reports and deliverables
  • Support client engagement, bid preparation, and business development initiatives
  • Mentor and support junior consultants as part of a growing team

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in environmental science, planning, engineering, or related discipline
  • 4+ years’ experience delivering EIA and environmental consultancy projects
  • Strong knowledge of Irish planning and environmental legislation
  • Excellent project management, communication, and report-writing skills
  • Experience engaging with regulators, clients, and design teams
  • Chartership or working towards professional accreditation (e.g., IEMA, CIWEM, or equivalent) is advantageous
