OverviewSenior Environmental (EIA) Consultant - London & South East. Role at WSP in the UK & Ireland.What you will doSupport the Environmental Management and Assessment Team in the London or South East Teams (London, Cambridge, Guildford, Reading, Basingstoke, Southampton).Contribute to projects across sectors such as energy, aviation, nuclear, rail, property and Local Government, with a focus on environmental design, assessment and management through the development lifecycle.Manage environmental inputs to schemes, including EIA screening, scoping reports, environmental constraints studies, environmental management plans and Environmental Statements.Lead or support project delivery with regard to technical quality, schedule, budget and health and safety, and build relationships with clients to support resourcing, programming and strategy.Support business development activities, including proposals and bid preparation, and promote innovative techniques (e.g., Digital EIA, Technical Excellence, Future Ready EIA).Inspire and develop junior colleagues and promote an inclusive, health-and-safety–driven culture.What you will demonstrateA relevant environmental degree in EIA, or similarChartered status and Full membership of IEMA (or working towards), or a similar professional qualificationExperience of EIA processes with limited supervision within multi-disciplinary teamsKnowledge of relevant environmental and planning legislationPost-qualified experience coordinating environmental assessments on various projectsUnderstanding of project management, commercial/risk aspects, forecasting and quality assuranceExperience in winning work and bid preparationExperience liaising with cross-discipline teams, clients and external bodiesStrong verbal and written communication, including report writingCommitment to health, safety and wellbeing cultureWhat we offerWork-life balance with a hybrid working policy (flexible in-office/homeschooling).
