Overview

Do you have proven experience business partnering with senior non-financial stakeholders? Do you have experience of using multiple sources of information and analysis to create a compelling summary of findings? Do you have experience of answering complex business questions and creating a hypothesis for senior stakeholders? Can you demonstrate how you have influenced and challenged business decisions and impacted performance positively? Do you have experience of managing multiple stakeholders with competing demands and tight timescales?

If so, we would like to discuss a truly commercial Senior Finance Business Partner (Manager level) role with you for a successful and instantly recognisable PE backed business based in Leeds.

This is a senior and visible position working closely with senior stakeholders across the business to help set the strategic direction, provide robust commercial insight that will identify opportunities to maximise performance and drive initiatives for profitable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver clear and robust value-add reporting, commercial insights and advice to the Operations team and field business partners, driving performance-improving actions and decision making.
  • Model complex problems and business scenarios and deliver compelling storytelling across performance reporting.
  • Influence and challenge effectively to improve performance and risk management with operational partners.
  • Travel as required to remain close to the business and its operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to support strategic direction and decision making.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA or CIMA).
  • Experience in a similar commercial role with evidence of influencing, challenging, and directing senior stakeholders to maximise business performance.
  • Proven ability to be an effective business partner, decision maker, with commercial awareness and finance-led value addition.
  • Experience in FMCG, multisite, distribution, logistics, supply chain or retail sectors is essential.
  • Ambitious, proactive, and capable of building robust relationships and providing support and challenge across functions.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills; able to translate financial information into actionable business relationships and a big-picture mindset with attention to detail.
