Senior Finance Manager - Slough (Hybrid 2 days working from home) - £70,000 + Benefits - 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

We're delighted to be supporting a global organisation with an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager to join their UK Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Based in Slough, this role offers hybrid working and the chance to play a key part in ensuring statutory and tax compliance across the UK and Ireland. You'll take ownership of financial reporting accuracy, manage compliance submissions, and support wider global finance initiatives.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll be responsible for the preparation and filing of statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, VAT returns, and duty submissions for UK and Irish entities.

You'll act as the main point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies including HMRC and ROS, ensuring compliance across all filings.

Key duties include:

  • Acting as subject matter expert for Making Tax Digital (MTD) filings and systems
  • Advising the US Finance and Tax teams on differences between USGAAP and UKGAAP
  • Overseeing the Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely and accurate supplier payments
  • Supporting month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and management reporting
  • Maintaining SOX compliance and strong internal controls for UK entities
  • Ensuring compliance with ESG reporting across the UK and Ireland
  • Assisting with budgets, forecasts, and global finance projects

This role offers both hands‑on responsibility and the opportunity to influence finance operations within a respected global brand.

About You

You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with solid experience in statutory accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong technical knowledge of UKGAAP, Corporation Tax, and VAT
  • Proven experience managing statutory filings and liaising with auditors and tax authorities
  • Understanding of Making Tax Digital (MTD) processes and software
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, detail-driven approach and ability to meet tight deadlines

Experience working with both UK and Irish entities, or in a multinational environment, will be highly advantageous.
