OverviewThis role reports to the Head of FP&A and is responsible for leading the annual Group 5YP process, including owning (and ongoing development of) a centrally held Group financial model that is accurate, agile and able to be used by the business to understand drivers of financial performance and make quick strategic decisions. This role is also a key lead for driving financial modelling and reporting improvements across the wider Finance team.Location: Basingstoke (3 x days per week)Duration: 6 MonthsDirect report: Head of FP&AResponsibilitiesMaintain and develop a (excel based) Group 5YP model that is accurate, agile, KPI led and has the ability to run scenarios to aid quick business decisions.Lead the 5YP process to ensure the Business Units own and are responsible for the input assumptions and output forecast and an achievable but stretching plan is delivered.Prepare Exec level presentations that are insightful and distil complex financial information.Business partner the Treasury team, supporting credit rating reviews and refinancing activity.Build strong relationships with the wider finance team, in particular with the CFO, the Finance Directors and their leadership teams and the Strategy team.Lead financial modelling and reporting improvements across the wider Finance teamsSupport on adhoc projects including presentations to external parties (e.g. strategy consultants, rating agencies etc.), analysing potential acquisitions or transactionsCapability, Knowledge and ExperienceFully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)Advanced excel skillsProven experience in a Group FP&A role in a large, complex organisationA strong technical accountant with good knowledge of statutory accounting, processes and controlsBusiness partnering experience with proven ability to build strong relationships in a fast-moving environmentExperience in preparing Exec level presentations and distilling complex technical topics to Exec or Board levelStrong analytical skills and attention to detailStrong interpersonal skillsPersonal CharacteristicsSuccessful balance of financial skills & commercial acumenStrong analytical skills with ability to build business cases with financial dataResilient, works well under pressure and in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environmentWillingness to learnHave excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work well in a team environmentApplication note: If interested please apply! #J-18808-Ljbffr
