Description

We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at an exciting moment in our growth as a business to work across our European Offices. The role is well suited to an individual looking to join a fast-paced, dynamic working environment with plenty of development opportunities within the role.

The successful candidate will be an effective communicator with experience of working across multiple projects simultaneously. Your responsibilities will range across different reporting requirements and financial project work as and when required. A background in subscription or advisory related sectors would be beneficial to the role also.

The role will provide the successful candidate with a wide range of experience across the accounts of multiple entities, contributing to the rapid growth of the business whilst advancing in their career in an environment that values their input and dedication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly and year-end close processes and involvement in the preparation of Financial Statements for multiple entities
  • Ensure compliance with local tax filings and manage communication between Aurora and our external local accountants
  • Develop finance process improvements for different areas of the accounts to improve the efficiency of the wider team
  • Involvement in Treasury process improvements to allow for more accurate and timely cash flow forecasting through improvements to the AP processes
  • Supporting the local office teams as their primary Finance contact for any Finance related queries, ranging from AR to AP
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
  • Collaboration with the credit control team to improve reporting on Debtors Recoverability
  • Support automation and system enhancement projects
  • Development of financial analysis at an entity and cost centre level to support the decision-making process of local teams on how best to utilise their budgets.

What we are looking for

Required attributes:

  • Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong excel skills to help improve reporting and analysis of monthly actuals
  • A highly motivated individual who has experience working on improving an ERP system
  • Experience of working as part of a team collaborating towards a long-term goal

Desirable attributes:

  • Experience of working with Dynamics 365
  • A background in subscription or advisory sectors
  • Proficiency speaking at least one other European language
