Overview

Alexander Daniels Finance Recruitment is recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant on behalf of a leading professional services organisation based in Nottingham. This is a 12-month fixed term contract opportunity, starting immediately.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager and working within a high-performing finance team, you’ll oversee financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and audit processes. You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders and contribute to strategic initiatives and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting and control processes across a portfolio of entities
• Review management and statutory accounts, tax and VAT returns
• Lead and manage audit cycles and ensure regulatory compliance
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and board reporting packs
• Manage cashflow, banking, and debt compliance
• Lead a small team and foster a culture of accountability and improvement
• Collaborate with operational and technical teams to enhance service delivery

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• Experience in professional services or complex financial environments
• Strong financial accounting skills and attention to detail
• Proactive and able to identify and implement process improvements
• Hybrid working (3 days in office)

• 25 days holiday + bank holidays

Paying circa £60,000 per annum, this is a fixed term contract opportunity. Only candidates available to start within 1 week will be considered.
