Overview
Senior Financial Analyst for Line of Business Construction (m/f/d) in the Business Partnering team “Specialty & Reinsurance”, based in Munich or London. The local job title for this position will be Global LoB Expert for Line of Business Construction.
The position is part of CFO Global Performance Steering (GPS). The Business Partnering team drives proactive steering to support AGCS’s growth plans and provides consistent business steering support during the annual steering cycle.
Responsibilities
- Steer the financial performance of the LoB Construction, including planning, reporting and analysis to ensure stakeholders understand monthly results.
- Support decision-making and portfolio steering by challenging financial performance of the LoB Construction.
- Build bridges between Finance and Underwriting; share best practices within GPS and the wider finance community.
- Collaborate with Regions to drive quality assurance for financial reporting and enable global business steering and transparency on financial performance.
- Present transparent conclusions and robust financial commentary to enable decision-making.
- Coordinate regular reporting, forecasting and planning processes for Construction across the Regions.
- Support the Head of Business Partnering Specialty & Reinsurance in coordinating steering and assessing LoB Construction performance, consolidating stakeholder views.
- Coordinate virtual team for Construction, drive best-practice sharing, and harmonize global standards.
- Drive projects and implement initiatives.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- Significant experience in the financial services industry, ideally in insurance or reinsurance.
- Proven expertise in planning and performance management, including analysis of financial statements and metrics specific to insurance or reinsurance.
- Ability to convey information clearly to a variety of stakeholders, including senior management.
- Experience working in a global team with effective remote relationships.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to provide insights in complex situations.
- Project management skills (milestones, resources, control, monitoring, reporting) with ability to develop solutions considering complex stakeholder structures.
- Advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills and SAP experience for reporting.
- Experience applying AI/ML to improve business processes is beneficial.
