Key Responsibilities & Impact You Will Have

  • Lead the financial controlling efforts within the largest division of Global Development.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership Team members in GCO to formulate forecasts for budgets and headcount, supporting business planning/latest thinkings, major updates, and strategic insights.
  • Cultivate an environment where finance promotes transparency, a solid understanding of financial processes, and clear expectations with GCO business partners.
  • Regularly engage with departmental heads to review FTE demand and supply, ensuring headcount reporting systems accurately reflect resource availability for each area.
  • Balance key business priorities, such as developing new capabilities and sustaining ongoing operations, to facilitate effective discussions with business stakeholders.
  • Lead and participate in ad hoc strategic projects, process improvement initiatives and special requests.
  • Take a proactive approach on process improvements, maintaining a deep understanding of how finance can best support business needs.
  • Ensure that the principles and elements of the Credo, J&J business policies, Healthcare Compliance, Regulatory, GAAP, and Sarbanes Oxley are adhered to all aspects of the job responsibilities.
  • Furthermore, this individual will be part of the Global Development Finance Team and as such will work closely with the rest of the GD team in Beerse and in the US.

  • Master’s degree with affinity for Finance
  • A minimum of 5 years’ finance or related business experience is required
  • Able to work independently in a very dynamic, complex and global business environment
  • Proactive and result oriented mindset
  • Continuously challenge the status quo and provide recommendations for finance and business improvements
  • Strong influencing & communication skills; get the message across effectively and respectfully
