The Role

Are you passionate about clean energy solutions? Look no further! Sonnedix is looking for a dynamic Senior Financial Analyst, reporting directly to the Head of Strategic Finance. As a key member of the Strategic Finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst will be central to the quarterly group valuation process. This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the firm's valuation models and associated infrastructure. This is a Palantir-based end-to-end solution designed to automate NAV reporting and make our data seamlessly accessible for analysis, visualization, and ad hoc investigations. The Strategic Finance team provides critical valuation and forecast information to internal teams, senior leadership, and company shareholders. The Senior Financial Analyst will be tasked with improving our Excel and Python-based financial models, developing new data interfaces, and building new functionalities to meet evolving business requirements.

The role involves long-term growth forecasting, scenario planning, and assessing the impact of various factors on company valuation, as well as supporting the consolidation and delivery of the quarterly NAV process. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst will assist the Head of Strategic Finance and the Financial Analysis Manager in preparing materials for stakeholders, including quarterly valuation reports and Board papers, and will support on both standard quarterly and ad-hoc reporting to our company shareholders.

Desirable Skills

  • Advanced Excel Skills with proficiency in VBA
  • Highly proficient in financial modelling, scenario analysis and valuation, specifically within the context of portfolio performance reporting and analysis
  • Familiarity with Python, SQL and software engineering best practices
  • In depth knowledge of the infrastructure sector, knowledge of Renewable Energy sector is a plus
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation, with the ability to drive transformation and effectively manage change
