Overview

Senior Fire Engineering professional to help grow and develop our Fire Advisory Solutions and Engineering Service, with ambitious growth plans nationally. This is a multi-disciplinary team of consultants delivering Fire Safety guidance and advice to clients in the public and private sectors.

We provide a wide range of consultancy Fire Safety services including the following:

  • Fire Engineering Services
  • Fire Compartmentation Surveys
  • Fire Quality Monitoring
  • Fire Risk Assessments
  • Building Safety Management/Building Safety Act Management
  • Developing Building Safety cases

Role Responsibilities

  • Carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures
  • Comply with established procurement/commercial/contractual strategies
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards
  • Ensure the business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances

Professional Skills

  • Fire Safety Management/Fire strategy involvement
  • Undertake fire risk assessments across property types (residential, healthcare, custodial, education, commercial)
  • Undertake fire integrity/compartmentation surveys to identify breaches, propose remedial repairs, and prepare specifications and design
  • Provide quality and technical monitoring on construction projects
  • Provide fire safety advisor support for clients with their property portfolio
  • Knowledge of Approved Document B, Health Technical Memorandum 05-02, Building Bulletins, and relevant British Standards is desirable
  • Review contractors’ proposals for suitability for the intended purpose
  • Project Management (not essential)

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will deliver excellent customer service with strong commercial results, have a passion for fire safety, and strive for high-quality on every commission.

Qualifications

  • Level 5 minimum qualification in Fire Discipline
  • Membership of IFE / IFSM or equivalent

Experience

  • Robust knowledge of UK fire safety legislation
  • Strong technical delivery experience
  • Ability to direct and manage complex projects proactively and diligently
  • Track record in line management and developing team members
  • Experience developing new long-term relationships and securing new business
  • Client-facing with high standards of technical delivery
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
