Responsibilities
- Lead major fire engineering projects across the UK and internationally, influencing building performance and safety strategies.
- Mentor and develop junior team members; contribute to the growth of fire safety expertise within the team.
- Manage project delivery from quotations to completion, including technical analyses, reports, drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Collaborate with authorities and stakeholders to gain agreement on prescriptive and performance-based design solutions.
- Ensure work quality, timeliness, and budget adherence while designing for safety, resilience, and sustainability.
Qualifications
- Degree or Master’s in Fire Engineering, or equivalent; ideally Chartered or Incorporated Fire Engineer via IFE.
- Strong technical knowledge with experience obtaining approval for design solutions from authorities and stakeholders; proven track record of delivering quality work on time and within budget.
- Experience with site inspections, audits, and fire risk assessments; good working knowledge of UK, ROI, NFPA, IBC/IFC Codes.
- Experience in computational modelling of evacuation, fire growth and smoke movement; CFD modelling is beneficial.
- Structural fire engineering experience is highly beneficial.
