Job Title: Firewall Infrastructure Team Manager

Location Leeds, Halifax, Manchester

Hours Full-time - 35 hours per week

What you’ll be doing

  • Acting as the key contact point for technical engagement for the bank's critical infrastructure.
  • Planning the implementation of sophisticated changes.
  • Providing leadership and mentorship to colleagues within your team.
  • Delivery of infrastructure and service improvement plans, including gateway upgrades and new builds.

Whilst not crucial to have previously worked in Financial Services, having experience of regulated environments would be favourable.

What you’ll need

  • Experience of owning an engineering team. Managing risk, meeting security standards, and prioritising the need to maintain and protect service versus transforming capabilities and experiences.
  • Experience in technologies including ACI Technologies, and network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Dynatrace. Checkpoint Firewall knowledge would be preferable.
  • Experience of Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling with proficiency in one or more of the following: Python, Harness, Ansible & Terraform.
  • Superb communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ownership of unblocking technical challenges and having a forward view to prove new patterns and technical solutions ready for full use.
  • Find opportunities to reduce operating and change costs, improve change accuracy, and adopt innovative ways to how we deliver change and service.
  • Strong people management abilities within a geographically diverse team environment
