Overview

My Client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy, based in central Manchester is searching for a Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join their bespoke team. You will have the chance to develop the team, manage projects and complete complete projects spanning residential, commercial and renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and check and complete complex and varied Flood Risk and Drainage work for Private Sector Clients, Local Authorities and Housing Developers.
• Complete technical work including Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications.
• Develop Drainage Strategies and complete Drainage Design using Infodrainage or Causeway for pre-planning projects.
• Mentor and manage junior candidates.
• Engage in Environmental and Hydrological projects, site visits and networking events with new and existing Clients across the region.

Qualifications

• Strong MSc and/or BSc in a relevant discipline including Environmental Management, Hydrology or Civil Engineering.
• Experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies and Drainage Designs, ideally using Causeway Flow or Microdrainage.
• Experience managing projects and liaising with Clients to develop new opportunities and delivering detailed design solutions including soakaways and lagoons is beneficial.
