Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant: Land Contamination

AA Environmental Limited is a successful and innovative environmental consultancy based in Oxfordshire. We are seeking a Senior Geo‑Environmental Consultant with at least 5 years’ experience in the land contamination and ground investigation sector to work directly with senior management within the Land Contamination and Remediation Team.

Responsibilities

• Project‑manage, plan, and supervise ground investigation and remediation schemes for construction, waste and development projects.
• Conduct field work, soil/rock logging, and collect soil and water samples in accordance with quality‑control procedures.
• Prepare key supporting documents such as Factual Reports, Preliminary and Generic Quantitative Risk Assessments, and Remediation Strategies.
• Communicate findings with clients and regulators.
• Travel to sites as required; use of company vehicles for site visits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related environmental science.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in ground investigation and land contamination/remediation.
• Experience supervising ground investigations and soil logging/sampling.
• Existing membership of a relevant professional body with evidence of CPD.
• Strong report‑writing, project‑management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication, team collaboration and a positive, professional attitude.
• Preferred CSCS card holder.
• Clean UK/EU driving licence; must be a qualified driver for site travel.
