Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities
Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities RICS is seeking a skilled and detail-driven Senior Payroll Administrator to join our global team and support the accurate, timely delivery of payroll across multiple jurisdictions. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring all RICS employees are paid correctly and on time, while meeting all relevant statutory and third-party obligations.
You’ll work closely with colleagues in HR, Finance, and regional teams to process payroll changes, reconcile results, manage provider relationships, and contribute to continuous improvements in payroll operations. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong grasp of UK payroll legislation and a working knowledge of international processes.
This role is ideal for a payroll professional who is confident managing end-to-end payroll cycles, supporting reporting and audits, and offering clear, solutions-focused advice across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process and reconcile payroll changes across UK and global regions, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Maintain clear audit trails through reports, reconciliations, and third-party payment documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams and payroll providers to resolve queries and ensure deadlines are met
• Monitor KPIs and provider performance, contributing to process improvements and best practice
• Support year-end reporting across jurisdictions and deputise for the Global Payroll Manager when required
About You
About You You bring strong technical knowledge of payroll and a proactive, collaborative approach to stakeholder management. You’re confident handling complex data, working to tight deadlines, and delivering payroll with precision and care. You’re comfortable working independently, but also enjoy being part of a close-knit, supportive team.
• A CIPP Advanced Technician qualification (or equivalent)
• Strong UK payroll knowledge, with exposure to global payroll processes and compliance
• Proven experience managing payrolls of 500+ employees, including third-party payments and reconciliations
• Excellent Excel skills and the ability to analyse and report on payroll data effectively
• A high degree of integrity, confidentiality, and organisational skill
