Senior Global Process Owner Order to Invoice and Account Payable

A Day in the Life Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) team members are seasoned professionals with in-depth knowledge of the healthcare value chain, as well as breadth of experience across multiple disciplines. They are able to partner with hospital management teams to drive complex transformational change, implement innovative growth strategies, streamline patient-focused care pathways and run and optimize operations.Working in the IHS Supply Chain and Customer Care back office as part of an EMEA team, your role will see you managing the order to invoice (OTI) and accounts payables (AP) processes predominantly within the UK market. This role is ideal for an operational finance or supply chain professional who seeks end-to-end process accountability and is looking for the opportunity to apply their leadership experience to a cross-functional team. Reporting to Supply Chain Director, IHS, you'll work directly with large datasets to address operational issues while guiding your team's strategic direction. You will have direct reports/team members in Netherlands and our outsourced service provider in Czech Republic and India. This is a remote role based in the UK, but you must be willing to travel 10% of the time to client and Medtronic locations.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Management of the OTI process for IHS, focusing primarily on UK:
- Ensure accurate and timely client billing by addressing root causes of invoicing issues through collaboration with internal stakeholders (commercial, service delivery, sourcing and procurement, customer care, and supply chain) and work directly with client finance partners to establish governance structures and KPIs to monitor billing issues, trends, forecasts, and account-level spend analyses
- Leverage technology to automate data quality checks and enhance the efficiency of the billing cycle
Accounts Payable (AP) management:
- Ensure up-to-date accounts payable and prompt issue resolution for the UK supplier base by overseeing an exception-handling team in India and collaborate with IHS sourcing and procurement to reduce overdue invoices and build strong relationships with key vendors to proactively resolve AP issues
- Support new business needs by working with Supply Chain leadership on purchase order flows for loan kits and consignment products
Internal Finance interface:
- Working alongside IHS and Medtronic Finance team on topics relating to costing/ revenue capture/ forecasts
- Manage demands of stakeholders and ensure that needs are consistently met (e.g., new account activation)
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Educational Background : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or Science
- Finance & Audit Expertise : Strong financial acumen, preferably with audit background and operational finance leadership (OTI, AP)
- Leadership Competence : Proven track record in leading teams within customer care, billing, and finance operations, including shared service environments
- Analytical & Technical Skills : Advanced Excel proficiency with solid understanding of programming concepts and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Business Central)
- Communication & Influence : Strong verbal and written English communication skills; adept at influencing and negotiating across all levels
- Process Improvement Focus : Skilled in identifying root causes of inefficiency, driving process improvements, and sustaining performance
- Project Management & Presentation : Experienced in managing projects, leading through influence, and delivering impactful presentations (PowerPoint)
