Overview
Senior HR Business Partner (7072) role at Cromwell. Location: Hybrid (2-3 days per week) to support customer and operational needs; head office will be in Leicester with potential travel to other locations. Team Size: 8 reports (4x HRBP, 2x HR Advisors, 2x HR Admin).
Responsibilities
- Lead the operational HR team, including HR Business Partners, Advisers, and Administrators, to deliver comprehensive HR services.
- Act as a strategic partner to the leadership team and deputy to the HR Director, providing expert HR guidance to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with leaders, stakeholders, and HR colleagues to shape and deliver people plans and solutions aligned with business goals.
- As a member of the HR Leadership team, define, drive and implement HR strategy, fostering a great place to work culture.
- Strategic Partnering: Provide high-quality HR support to senior management, develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives, and support decision-making.
- Performance and Talent Management: Foster a performance culture, implement talent management strategies including succession planning and career development, and identify development needs for high-performing teams.
- Engagement and Communication: Support engagement and communication activities, promote employee brand development, and encourage colleague adoption of core platforms.
- Change Management: Drive and support change management initiatives for smooth implementation of organizational changes.
- Employee Relations and HR Policies: Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, oversee employee relations, anticipate business challenges, and manage third-party legal relationships.
- HR Policies, Process, and Administration: Provide guidance to stakeholders, ensure HR policies are reviewed and compliant, and collaborate across HR for core processes like onboarding and payroll.
- Reporting and Continuous Improvement: Utilize HR metrics and analytics for strategy and decision-making, use insights for workforce trends, and continuously improve processes.
- Leadership and Management: Provide leadership for effective HR service delivery, support the HR leadership team, and deputize for the HR Director as needed.
Who We're Looking For – Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
- Demonstrable experience as a Senior HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or generalist within a fast-paced environment.
- Proven generalist HR knowledge with experience in talent development, employee engagement, organizational design, performance management, workforce, and succession planning.
- CIPD Level 7 qualified or relevant qualification within a specialist area.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Previous experience leading and developing teams.
- Previous experience leading change management and organizational design projects.
- Employee relations experience, having successfully managed complex cases.
- Previous exposure to business planning and delivery of commercially focused KPIs.
