Senior HR Manager
About The Role
Sportable is recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to join their growing team. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Old Street, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a people-first, fast-paced environment.
This is a hands-on generalist role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across all areas of HR, from recruitment and employee relations to training and performance. You'll be a trusted advisor to managers, helping to foster a positive and supportive working environment across the business.
As a HR Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our dynamic, fast-paced business across multiple markets, including the United Kingdom, South Africa, USA and Australia.
What we're looking for:
- Solid experience in HR management, ideally within technology, leisure, or a similarly dynamic industry.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- A proactive and approachable attitude.
- Experience supporting line managers with HR processes, performance management, and team development.
- Confidence working in a standalone or small-team HR environment
- Working with international teams is a plus.
- BA degree in relevant areas
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent
- 5+ years of HR experience in an international, fast-paced environment, preferably in a senior generalist or HR Manager role
How Would You Contribute
- Partner with managers, providing HR guidance on talent management, employee development, and performance management
- Lead and resolve complex employee relations issues, including investigations and disciplinary actions
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and internal policies
- Support the implementation of HR policies and processes, ensuring alignment with business needs
- Advise on workforce planning, succession planning, and organisational restructuring
- Identify training needs and support leadership development initiatives
- Analyse HR trends and metrics to develop solutions that drive engagement and efficiency
- Drive HR initiatives to improve employee experience
- Act as a key liaison with local and international labour authorities as required
- Manage HR-related cost efficiency initiatives and budgets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams at local and regional levels to support business objectives
- Support onboarding and managing seasonal employees
- Health and safety across the whole business
- Manage talent acquisition initiatives
- Office management and events.
