Senior HR Business Partner - Motorsport
Overview
Senior HR Business Partner – Motorsport. Reporting to the Head of HR. Hybrid work arrangement: 2 days from the Biggin Hill office, 1 day from the London office, and 2 days from home.
Responsibilities
- Business Partnering - Act as the main HR contact for designated business areas, developing strong relationships and aligning people strategies with business objectives.
- HR Advice & Support - Provide consistent, professional advice on employment law, employee relations (e.g. absence, performance, grievance, disciplinary), and HR policies and procedures.
- Workforce Planning - Support flexible workforce planning, challenging requirements where appropriate, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Team Leadership - Line-manage an HR Coordinator and Advisor, providing mentoring, feedback, and support to ensure high-quality HR service delivery.
- Policy & Process Improvement - Stay up-to-date with employment legislation and HR best practices, contributing to continuous improvement of policies, systems, and processes.
- Talent Management - Partner with leaders on talent reviews, succession planning, and performance interventions, ensuring development plans are in place and monitored.
- Performance Management - Support performance improvement and retention efforts. Promote effective use of Workday and ensure timely probation and compliance reviews.
- Learning & Development - Identify training needs, analyse trends, and facilitate relevant training or workshops, including Workday and employment law updates.
- Employee Relations - Proactively manage ER issues, support investigations, represent HR in hearings, and provide analysis of ER trends and policy recommendations.
- Recruitment & Onboarding - Partner with Talent Acquisition and managers to deliver effective recruitment and onboarding, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment.
- Engagement & Wellbeing - Champion employee engagement, support action planning post-surveys, monitor wellbeing, and use data to inform people decisions.
- General Responsibilities - Complete mandatory training, operate safely, and carry out additional duties as required by the Head of HR.
Requirements
- Fully CIPD Level 7 Qualified
- At least 4 years working in a generalist Advisory role
- ER experience
- Welfare and long term sickness management
- Up to date, current employment law knowledge
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Managing successful projects
- High level of credibility
- Good organisational skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Flexible
- Ability to build good working relationships
- Previous experience working for a sports agency or sports rightsholder background is preferable.
