Senior Incident Responder / IR Consultant Hybrid - Bristol | Up to £80k + Bonus + Benefits

We are working with an established cybersecurity company seeking a Senior Incident Responder (IR / DFIR Consultant) to join their team. In this role, you will lead active engagements involving real-world attacks such as ransomware, data breaches, and insider threats. Your responsibilities will include conducting forensic investigations, advising on containment and recovery, and producing detailed incident reports.

This is a hands-on, client-facing position requiring a calm demeanor, technical expertise, and the ability to manage high-impact situations from start to finish. You will handle multiple incidents concurrently, making this role suitable for those who thrive under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage cybersecurity incident responses for diverse clients, ensuring effective containment, investigation, and recovery.
• Perform in-depth digital forensic analysis of incident data.
• Monitor the cyber threat landscape and provide clients with insights into emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
• Serve as a primary contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and smooth project delivery.

Role Requirements

• Approximately 5 years of cybersecurity experience, with leadership in IR cases/projects.
• Strong knowledge of cyber threats, attack vectors, IOC, and remediation strategies.
• Hands-on experience with forensic tools, ELK, EDR, SIEM, and log analysis.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Adaptability, resilience, and composure under pressure.
• Relevant certifications such as CCIM or CIH are advantageous.
• Fluency in German or Arabic is a plus.

This role requires 1-2 days onsite weekly in Bristol or at client sites.
