Department: Water and Environment

Experience: 8 to 16 Years

Responsibilities

• Perform design/analyses calculations related to wet utilities such as potable water, sewer, stormwater, and highway drainage using governing engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
• Research and prepare design options and documents.
• Prepare engineering computations, quantity takeoffs, specifications and designs.
• Provide technical guidance to CAD Designers and junior Engineers working on the same project.
• Interact confidently with clients through meetings and presentations.

Education and Professional Skills

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and/or Master's in Water Resources Engineering/Environmental/Hydraulics Engineering discipline.
• 8-16 years of relevant work experience in infrastructure engineering design, particularly water, wastewater and storm drainage networks with progressively increasing responsibility.
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary consultancy.
• Strong report writing skills, with the ability to write clear and concise reports.
• Excellent presentation skills, written and verbal communication, initiative, motivation and a team player.
• Experience working internationally, especially Africa and the Middle East would be an advantage.
