Senior Instrument Designer - South Manchester / Hybrid • Contract: 3+ months • Salary: Competitive • Location: South Manchester / Hybrid. DATS Engineering is looking for an experienced Senior Instrument Designer to support project delivery in the pharmaceutical and petrochemical sectors.

Responsibilities

• Work with multi-discipline design teams and Project Managers.
• Review customer requirements, prepare reports, concept and detailed designs (RIBA 2-4).
• Produce documentation to standards and liaise with subcontractors.
• Lead improvement initiatives and coordinate with Mechanical, Process, HVAC, and Civil teams.
• Attend site in South Manchester at least 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years\' design experience, including electrical installation design in pharmaceutical projects.
• HNC or Degree in a technical engineering discipline (professional membership desirable).
• Knowledge of E&I design best practices, CDM Regulations 2015, Functional Safety (IEC61511).
• Hazardous area design experience, including intrinsically safe calculations and inspection schedules.
• Proficient in AutoCAD LT and Microsoft Office.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and able to work independently.
