Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on an Epic/Digital Programme to transition the Principal Treatment Centre (PTC) from the existing partnership between The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to the Evelina London Children's Hospital by October 2026.

We are looking for a passionate individual who is trained and familiar with InterSystems HealthShare Health Connect. Epic Bridges certification is desirable.

Key responsibilities

  • Development, maintenance and support of InterSystems HealthConnect Trust Integration Engine interfaces.
  • Development, maintenance and support of Epic Bridges interfaces.
  • Triaging Epic Bridges errors, assigning to relevant error work queues, and preparing error resolution plans.
  • Assisting Epic/Application teams with the resolution of errors.
  • Triaging and addressing Service Desk interface related tickets, ensuring timely resolution within the defined SLA.
  • Monitoring TIE error alerts, resolving or escalating issues as needed.
  • Ensuring interface design documents are up to date with changes and fixes; managing impact on interfaces during Epic upgrades.
  • Monitoring the Integration platform to ensure resources and high availability.
  • Ensuring compliance with change control processes; supporting secure decommissioning of legacy environments, data disposal, messaging retirement or transfers.
  • Contributing to new Integration projects as assigned by Senior Integration Analysts and the Integration Manager.
  • May participate in the on-call rota for 24/7 support.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Master’s level education or equivalent experience.
  • Certification or demonstrable working knowledge of integration solutions and standards (HL7, FHIR).

Desirable

  • Formal qualification in Project Management.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience delivering a workstream within a major programme framework; experience in managing and developing effective teams.
  • Experience deploying and supporting an industry-standard integration engine in an Acute Trust setting.
  • Experience of healthcare interfaces development.
  • In-depth knowledge and recent experience of the InterSystems Health Connect platform.

Skills

Essential

  • HL7 interface development skills using technologies such as .NET, Java, ObjectScript, etc.
  • Knowledge of integration standards/protocols (HL7, FHIR, IHE, DICOM, REST, HTTP, SOAP).
  • Strong technical delivery, organisational, prioritisation and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to solve problems innovatively.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of learning styles, learning preferences, and embedding functional skills within learning events.
