OverviewSenior Investment Manager, Private Credit - Private Markets, Asset Management. This is a permanent role based in London with some flexibility to work between the office and home. We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as a Senior Investment Manager to join the Private Credit team within Private Markets and Asset Management.Key ResponsibilitiesSource, assess and execute new private credit investment opportunities through a variety of channels including banks, brokers, advisors, sponsors and borrowersUndertake credit analysis on new investment opportunitiesGenerate additional yield on the group’s investment assets by using relative value analysis to identify investment opportunities that deliver material illiquidity premiumReview and negotiate legal documentation, supported by internal and external counsels, to mitigate credit risks and enhance downside protectionsBe a prime contact for existing and future investee companiesContribute to and lead strategic projects to further expand the opportunity set of Private MarketsRepresent Phoenix Asset Management externally and be an SME in key internal forumsBe a role model and a mentor for more junior team membersExperienceWhat we\'re looking forEssential (minimum Criteria)Proven experience within an asset manager, an asset owner, an investment bank or an advisorExtensive experience in private credit and/or private placements, investment origination, credit underwriting and negotiation of legal termsProven ability to manage deal execution from inception through to closing and monitoringDemonstrable investment track recordStakeholder management and collaborative working, including with senior managementDesirableExperience of managing loan workoutsKnowledge and experience of Solvency II regulationLeadership and team management skillsQualificationsBachelor or Master of ScienceActuarial or other financial professional qualifications beneficial but not required (e.g. CFA, CQF)Personal Attributes And SkillsStrong analytical skills, problem-solving ability and research capabilitiesExcellent negotiation and presentation skillsAbility to collaborate and communicate effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders, with strong influential capabilityHighly collaborative, proactive and flexible contributor in a dynamic and agile teamAbility to utilise influence to drive projects and outcomesComfortable working within a fast-paced environmentWe Want To Hire The Whole Version Of YouWe are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
