We are seeking an experienced renewals professional to join a busy Records and Formalities team. This role involves managing all aspects of patent and design renewals, from processing reminders to instructing and monitoring payments. You’ll play an important part in ensuring records are accurate, deadlines are met, and clients receive clear and timely updates.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update records in patent management system
• Process UKIPO and foreign renewal reminders, cease notices, and related correspondence
• Pay UK and EU renewal fees, instruct and monitor foreign renewals, and report to clients
• Liaise with clients, local agents, and external providers regarding renewal queries
• Provide renewal reports and advice to colleagues and clients
• Review processes and suggest improvements
• Support the wider Records team with administrative tasks as required

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a renewals department (patents/designs)
• Highly organised, able to prioritise under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Diligent, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Supervisory experience an advantage, but not essential
