Senior IS Analyst - Field Systems Support

We're on the lookout for a talented and motivated Senior IS Analyst to join our Branch Systems Field Support team at Booker. If you're great with technology, love solving problems, and take pride in delivering top-notch customer service, this could be the role for you.

In this job, you'll take the lead on projects and provide support across our Business Centres, Distribution Centres, and Support Centres. Your work will directly help us improve customer satisfaction and boost cash profit. You'll also be a key escalation point for the Field Service team and wider IT department, so being calm under pressure is a must. We're after someone proactive who's always thinking about how to make things better.

You'll also mentor and support colleagues, sharing your knowledge to help the whole team grow. Please note, this is a field-based role so frequent travel will be required. From time to time, you'll be part of our out-of-hours telephone support rota, making sure the business runs smoothly even outside normal office hours.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the Business Centre Asset system administration.
  • Adhering to system KPIs.
  • Generating management information reporting.
  • Managing Support/ServiceDesk updates.
  • Supporting the delivery of the Branch/Field Systems roadmap.
  • Deputising in the absence of the IS Manager as required.
  • Leading any direct reports and conducting regular 121's and performance reviews.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A good understanding of working with Technology such as EPOS Systems, RF Devices, printers, thin clients and mobile handheld devices.
  • Knowledge of networking connectivity.
  • Knowledge of wholesale industry business processes.
  • Service management skills.
  • Consistent delivery of results.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment.
  • Ability to run and terminate network cabling (or desire and willingness to learn).
