We are partnering with a leading international FS company who are seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join their London technology team. Salary: Up to £110,000 basic + 15% pension

• Design, build, and enhance scalable, secure applications for critical banking platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with modern architectural patterns.
• Contribute to both server-side and front-end capabilities to ensure seamless system integration.
• Apply your experience in testing and quality engineering to drive robust and reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• Industry background: Experience within Banking / Financial Services or large-scale public sector organisations (e.g., HMRC, DWP).
• Availability: Able to start within 1 month. No sponsorship is available for this role.
• Career background: Candidates with a strong testing foundation are highly desirable.
• Technical skills:
• Server-side engineering with Java 11+
• Strong SQL knowledge (DB2, SQL Server, or Postgres)
• Experience with Microservices, RESTful APIs, and Design Patterns
• UI development exposure with React / Node.js, plus HTML & CSS
